About
Hotel:
Unusual & distinctive design elements,
attention to luxurious comfort, intimate
touches & personalized services
- this is what The Park brings to Bangalore.
This pristine white four-storied structure
with a cobbled driveway, located on
MG Road in the heart of Bangalore's
business district, belies the luxury
and flamboyance of its interiors. A
stupendous fusion of vibrant colors
and landscapes of Indian ethnicity and
International eloquence makes The Park
a unique 109-room experience. The first
contemporary boutique hotel in India,
it symbolizes style, eloquence and grandeur.
The designs that adorn the hotel are
the creation of Conran & Partners,
UK. They echo the contemporary attitude
of The Park Hotels all over India and
showcase its global standards in luxury,
comfort and hospitality. This specially
designed environment promises travelers
a truly 'urban retreat'.
Accommodation :
The
Park invites you to rivet around the
residential floors by lifts that luxuriate
in rich black leather. As you step out
of the lift, you are welcomed by a splash
of colorful carpets that embrace the
color theme of each floor. The choice
of fabric and tints reflect the theme
of discovery within a natural environment.
Each floor maintains a class of its
own and is suggestive of the variety
of experiences and cultures that are
prevalent throughout India.
The
first floor portrays a cool expanse
of water signified by the use of the
base color 'aqua' along with dashes
of 'orange' that is symbolic of the
flaming of the Sun. The second floor
uses a great deal of 'iris' and 'pale
lime trees' to add to the scenic beauty
of a breathtaking mountain landscape.
The third floor again, is characterized
by a 'Bright Lime' jungle that is reflected
through the bountiful use of regal 'emperor
red' flowers.
The
fourth floor - The Residence - is symbolic
of an oasis in a desert with splashes
of 'ultramarine blue' and shades of
'saffron' posing as the oasis and the
desert respectively.
The
benevolent use of silk, leather, pure
wooden floors and glass create a unique
atmosphere within the spacious rooms
of The Residence. A plush luxurious
mattress, framed in a four-poster bed,
softens the furniture, which is presented
in a linear modern style. The balconies
of some rooms are ornamented with deck
chairs that create a perfect holiday
mood. The rooms have been designed keeping
in mind the needs of the international
traveler and assure them of a unique
experience in hospitality.
Dining:
The
24-hour restaurant is suggestive of
the all-encompassing season that influences
the landscapes of India and its people.
The midnight blue and sunset orange
create a peaceful yet spirited ambience,
echoing the song of the season. The
chairs are of a woven Lloyd Loom type
with comfortable seat pads. The 'sharing
table' that draws you to the restaurant
from the lobby area, is a melting pot,
where strangers can meet and mingle.
The slight thrust of this table into
the lobby gives the first-time guest
a hint of what lies beyond. Illumination
accented by a scattering of brilliant
orange lanterns is evocative of the
setting sun. The menu is a select assortment
of items from coastal cuisines of South
India and South-East Asia. The emphasis
on authentic cuisine, subtle flavors,
healthy and quality ingredients, bestow
upon connoisseurs of food an opportunity
to indulge. The menu perfectly complements
the calm, yet intriguing décor,
creating a magical experience.
Conference and Banquet Facilities:
The
two banquet halls are just right for conferences,
seminars, theme parties, weddings etc
as they can serve as many as 180 people
at a time. The halls are equipped with
soundproof panels and a good number of
audio-visual aids that are in perfect
harmony with the light dimming system.
This is the ideal place to host your next
party.
The
Oak Room
A ceremonial entrance from the lobby leads
to a room of calmness and serenity. A
cozy pre-registration area opens into
the main rooms. Grand and rich panels
clad in oyster colored "bamboo fabric"
with discreet shuttering along the window
wall contribute to the plush décor.
The doors open out to a beautifully landscaped
terrace, which is lit at night with specially
designed lamps. This is surely a wonderful
venue for an important function.
The
Blue Box
All sides of this 'screening' room are
cobalt blue - the carpet on the floor,
the painted walls, the ceiling and the
furniture. This abundant space can be
dimmed down to a nighttime setting or
be illuminated to make for a Board Room
situation. The flexibility of the room
allows it to be laid out as a table for
14, two tables of 10 each, a formal cinema
for 24 or a chill out space for up to
20 people. The back wall is built out
as a projection facility and there is
a screen opposite to it, which can be
retracted into the ceiling.
Recreation Facilities:
Situated
in the core of the hot, deep blue outdoor
pool is Aquazone- a relaxing zone that is
virtually embedded underwater. It offers
a wide range of massage rooms, steam, sauna
and changing rooms. The aqua theme is reflected
in the light green blue walls and blue tiled
floor. The two treatment rooms are simply
out of the world and provide the much-needed
privacy to relax your muscles and tone up
your body. The calm, serene feeling permeates
into the wood floored gym where translucent
azure glass provides a backdrop to state-of-the-art
fitness equipments from LifeFitness and
Cybex.
