At Khajuraho, the world-renowned
groups of temples western, eastern and
southern are must visits. The adjoining
Archeological Museum is worth visiting
for its collection of the sculptures,
inscriptions, and architectural objects.
At a distance of sixty-four kms is the
Dhubela Museum famous for the Shakti
Cult Sculpture. Closer at seven kilometers
is the picnic spot of Benisagar Lake
that is ideal for boating and angling.
The Pandava waterfall and the Ranch
waterfalls are other nature spots worth
visiting. The annual Khajuraho Dance
Festival celebrated in the months of
February/March with performances by
the Indian classical dancers is a true
feast. The temples form the ideal background
for the occasion. The festival of Mahashivratri
is worth more than participation at
